Overview
Round Annapurna Trekking is held in the region on the Annapurna which seems to be the best approach to have a close formation of mysterious nature’s which have facilitated this region to be highly concentrated trekking destination among the worldwide. Trekkers can encounter the rhododendrons forest bloomed in March to April.
The Round Annapurna Trekking trail combined with lower elevation of valley to crossing one of the world’s biggest pass Thorung La 5416m. Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal / Transfer to Hotel.
- This is your first day in Nepal. Upon arrival at the airport, our staff will warmly welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel. A welcome refreshment package will be provided for you upon arrival.
Day 02: Drive to Besisahar / Overnight at Teahouse.
- Drive approximately 175 km from Kathmandu to Besisahar, which takes around 5-6 hours. The road follows the scenic Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, offering beautiful views of hills, villages, and terraced fields along the way.
Day 03: Drive to Chame (2,670m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- From Besisahar, the journey continues by jeep along an unpaved mountain road, which can be quite bumpy. The drive takes about 3-4 hours and follows the Marsyangdi Valley through picturesque mountain villages and stunning landscapes before reaching Chame.
Day 04: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- The trail traverses the left side of the valley. After passing the apple-growing village of Bhratang, you will cross a suspension bridge and climb gradually to the beautiful village of Dhukur Pokhari. During the trek, enjoy magnificent views of .Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Pisang Peak.
Day 05: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- The trail passes through several traditional villages, monasteries, and lama settlements. After Humde, the landscape gradually changes into a drier, more desert-like environment. Along the way, you will enjoy views of Annapurna III, Chulu Peaks, Gangapurna, and Khangsar Kang.
Day 06: Acclimatization Day in Manang (3,540m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- Today is reserved for acclimatization to help your body adjust to the increasing altitude. You may explore the surrounding area or take a short hike to nearby viewpoints.
Day 07: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- As the altitude increases, the pace becomes slower and more gradual to aid acclimatization. During the trek, enjoy views of Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, Chulu West, Chulu Central, Chulu East, Glacier Dome, Syagang, Katung Kang, and other surrounding peaks.
Day 08: Trek from Yak Kharka to High Camp (4,925m) / Overnight at Teahouse.
- The trail initially follows the right side of the valley before crossing a suspension bridge and continuing along the left side. The route gradually ascends through rugged alpine terrain to Thorong Phedi and then to High Camp.
Day 09: Trek from High Camp to Muktinath (3,800m) via Thorong La Pass (5,416m), then Drive to Jomsom / Overnight at Teahouse.
- The trek starts early in the morning, usually around 5:00 AM, depending on the season. Today you will cross the famous Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17,769ft), one of the highest trekking passes in the world. From the pass, enjoy spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri Massif and surrounding Himalayan peaks. After crossing the pass, descend to Muktinath via Chirabu. From Muktinath, drive downhill through Jharkot, Khingar, Kagbeni, and Eklebhatti before reaching Jomsom. The route is mostly downhill but can be quite dusty due to strong afternoon winds.
Day 10: Jomsom to Pokhara
- Take a morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (or drive back to Pokhara, depending on conditions). The rest of the day is free to relax and explore the beautiful lakeside area of Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu
- After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 12: Departure Day
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your final departure. We wish you a safe journey and hope to welcome you back to Nepal in the future.
