The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a popular trek in Nepal for 16 days holidays which is the 8th highest peak in the world. Manaslu trekking is a high altitude trekking in Nepal where you need to cross Larkya la pass (5160 meters).

The trekking start eight hour drive from kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m) and finishing in the town of Besisahar. The trek itself follows an ancient salt-trading route, passes wild waterfalls of the Bhuri Gandhaki River crosses through forests of pine, bamboo and gorgeous rhododendron. Visits to secluded monasteries and a chance to experience local people’s lives are also a part of this adventure. The trek crosses a breath-taking the most popular Buddhist villages, Larkya La (5160m) high mountain pass and crossing over a glacial landscape while trekking around Manaslu.

Manaslu Circuit Trek which is the home range of the scarce snow leopard, and the track is also part of The Great Himalayan Trail, and is considered a trek off the beaten path.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to your hotel.

    Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (1340m) by private jeep (approx. 8-9 hours).

    Day 03: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat 1,410m (approx. 6-7 hours).

    • • Continue along the Budhi Gandaki River.
    • • Pass through the village of Tatopani (hot springs).

    Day 04: Trek from Jagat to Deng 1,800 m (approx. 5-6 hours).

    • • Pass through several Tibetan-influenced villages.
    • • Enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.

    Day 05: Trek from Deng to Namrung 2660 m (approx. 6-7 hours).

    • • Ascend through forests of pine and rhododendron.
    • • Pass through the village of Prok.
    • • Reach the village of Namrung with views of Mount Manaslu.

    Day 06: Trek from Namrung to Samagaon 3,530 m (approx. 6 hours).

    • • Pass through picturesque villages and barley fields.
    • • Enjoy views of Mount Manaslu and other peaks.

    Day 07: Rest day and acclimatize in Samagaon.

    • • Explore the village and visit local monasteries.
    • • Optional hike to the Pungyen Gompa or Manaslu Base Camp.

    Day 08: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo 3,860 m (approx. 3-4 hours).

    • • Enjoy views of the Manaslu Glacier and surrounding peaks.

    Day 09: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala / Larkya La Phedi 4,460 m (approx. 4-5 hours).

    • • Ascend gradually towards Dharamsala.

    • • Reach Dharamsala, the base of the Larkya La Pass.

    Day 10: Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang 3,720 m via Larkya La Pass (approx. 8-9 hours).

    • • Descend towards Bimthang with views of Mount Manaslu and surrounding peaks.

    Day 11: Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani 1,860 m (approx. 7-8 hours).

    • • Descend through rhododendron forests.
    • • Pass through the village of Tilije.
    • • Reach Dharapani, where the Annapurna Circuit trail meets.

    Day 12: Drive from Dharapani to Kathmandu via Beshisahar (approx. 8-9 hours).

    • • Enjoy scenic views during the drive back to Kathmandu.
